Important Medical Recommendation

If, you feel unwell, have recently been suffering from a virus or are on medication for acute illness, we recommend that you do not take part in the challenge. The participation in virtual indoor rowing challenges is at your own risk. Always consult your doctor before starting any exercise programme or challenge. British Rowing, Rowing Canada Aviron, Rowing Australia and Rowing NZ shall not be liable for any damages or injuries, however caused, occurring during or after adopting the challenge activity.

Remember
   - If you do not feel well then do not exercise.
   - If something is making you feel unwell then stop doing it.
   - The health services are busy at the moment, take care not to add to their burdens

In preparing for any of the challenges, try to make progressive small improvements in performance rather than deliver a maximum effort. Exercise regularly and acclimate yourself to physical activity. It is OK to control your workouts so that you can deliver peak performance for a competition but remember that good performances take time and they result from careful planning and training.

Waiver 

Entry into the One Minute Challenge confirms that you understand that participation in the event involves risks of bodily injury, including stroke, paralysis, heart attack and death, as well as loss or damage to property. 

Your decision to participate or to enter a junior participant in the event is made by you in full recognition of these risks and is entirely voluntary. 

You understand that all junior participants must be entered and accompanied by a responsible adult at all times during taking part in challenges. 

In consideration of your acceptance of the entry form, you agree that you, your executors and administrators assign to hold harmless British Rowing, Rowing Canada Aviron, Rowing Australia, Rowing NZ, their partners, their respective directors, officers, employees, representatives, agent successors and assigns from all ability on account of injury, loss, claim, or damage to your health, wellbeing or property on account of your participation in these virtual challenge events.

Virtual Challenge Terms and Conditions

This One Minute Challenge is open to anyone from the ages of 11 and above at the time of entry.

For an entrant to be eligible to win, an entry must be submitted through the Virtual One Minute Challenge platform, including honest evidence of the indoor rowing machine monitor score achieved. 

By submitting entries to the One Minute Challenge site, you confirm that for each entry submitted:
   - You have and are the only person who has completed this result;
   - Parents are the sole copyright holder on behalf of their child if entering on behalf of a junior rower;
   - You have not licensed or granted any rights in the work that will conflict with the usage required by British Rowing, Rowing Canada Aviron, Rowing Australia and Rowing NZ;
   - You have the consent of a parent or guardian to grant the usage rights required by the One Minute Challenge and associated National Governing Bodies to display your result;
   - That your entry does not include any other intellectual property rights or other rights of any other third person or entity;
   - That it does not contain names, likenesses, or other characteristics identifying celebrities or other public figures, living or dead;
   - You will be responsible for any claim made by any third party in respect of your entry and to fully indemnify One Minute Challenge and associated National Governing Bodies in respect of all royalties, fees and any other monies owing to any person or entity by reason of your breaching any of the foregoing.

In consideration of One Minute Challenge publicising the entry through the virtual challenge website and social media, the entrant hereby agrees to grant to One Minute Challenge and associated National Governing Bodies an irrevocable, royalty-free and unrestricted right to use, sublicense, reproduce, modify and publish the entry, including the entrant’s image and likeness as depicted therein, throughout the world for the following purposes:
   - editorial purposes;
   - promotional purposes;
   - any other purposes.
